I grow up poor in a family of eight my father was unemployed and mom worked as housekeeper; ironically no one could tell we were poor because my brother (Lizwe Thabethe) and myself were one of the great classy motherfuckers, with the little that we had we made the most of it. I dressed better than most folks in the working class when I was just a student. I remember a lady who almost rejected me for being way too sophisticated, she told me my league was too high for her; At that point I knew I was the dope dude in the block and I was obsessive about fashion
